      Market Overview

Bitcoin has staged a solid recovery from the early-July decline, supported by improving risk appetite and stabilization above the $64,000–65,000 demand zone. However, momentum has slowed considerably as price approaches $66,000, where previous distribution occurred. Market participants remain cautious ahead of this week's FOMC meeting, with expectations that policymakers will keep rates unchanged but maintain a restrictive tone due to persistent inflation risks and higher energy prices.
Although long-term institutional adoption remains intact, short-term capital flows into digital assets have been inconsistent. Several analysts continue to identify $67,000–68,000 as the immediate resistance that must be cleared before a broader recovery can develop, while $64,000 remains the key support preserving the current rebound structure.

      Market Sentiment

Investor sentiment has improved compared with early July, but conviction remains limited. Traders are reducing leverage ahead of the Fed decision, resulting in declining trading volume and weaker follow-through after bullish sessions. Community and institutional discussions increasingly suggest that the market is waiting for a macro catalyst before committing to a new trend.
The repeated rejection around $66,000 indicates sellers remain active at higher prices. Unless ETF demand improves meaningfully and the Fed delivers a more dovish outlook than expected, upside momentum is likely to remain constrained in the near term.

      Technical Analysis

Bitcoin Rejected at $66,000: Is a Short-Term Correction About to Begin?_1
On the M15 timeframe, Bollinger Bands (20,0,2) are beginning to flatten after the recent advance, while price repeatedly fails to close above the upper band near $66,000. This reflects slowing bullish momentum and increasing probability of a volatility contraction before the next directional move.
The Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (9,26,52) still places price above the Kumo, confirming that the short-term trend remains constructive. However, the Tenkan-sen has started flattening and price is extending further away from the Kijun-sen, suggesting the market has become overextended. A pullback toward the Kijun-sen would represent a healthy correction without damaging the broader structure.
The Stochastic (5,3,3) remains in overbought territory and has formed a bearish crossover, indicating fading buying momentum. Immediate resistance is located at $66,800, followed by $68,000, while initial support lies near $64,800, with stronger demand around $63,800. Unless buyers achieve a decisive breakout above resistance, the M15 technical structure favors a corrective decline toward support before the next major move.
